These walls are closing in
while darkness coils around me
my demons come to hunt
and drown me.
My heaven has been lost
inside the blackest night
that grips my withered soul
with suffocating might.
A fearsome black-horned beast
digs deeps its piercing claws
and screams your wretched name
with bloody, jagged jaws.
I can't escape these fears
these bloody screams and tears
that tarnish all my days
and darken all my dreams.
The dark won't cease to blind me
no hopeful light seems to suffice
as my demons, slowly, drag me down
further from the surface.
